There is always something to do in Keswick no matter the weather, and summer is no exception. Whether you are looking for hikes, fun out on the water, great shops, attractions or places to eat, Keswick has you sorted. We’re lucky to be surrounded by beautiful countryside, including fells, woodland and lakes, which gives you ample opportunity to get out and enjoy nature in the summer sun. Why not take advantage of being on the lakeshore and enjoy a lake cruise on **Keswick Launch**, or try your hand at watersports with **Derwent Water Marina**? Or try one of our [outdoor providers](https://visitkeswick.com/do/outdoors/water-sports) for ghyll scrambling or paddleboarding. [Keswick Agricultural Show](https://keswickshow.co.uk/) is held every August Bank Holiday Monday with livestock, trade stands, art and craft marquee, fell races and children's amusements. The temperature in Keswick can vary during the summer but the warmest months are June to September (usually) with it being around 18°C. However, the driest months are April to June with August having an average of 120mm of rain which is similar to March and September. Borrowdale is home to the wettest inhabited place in the UK and we are all aware in recent years the weather in the UK does what it wants. So make sure you pack for all weathers and bring those waterproofs.
