Bassenthwaite Lake Station

Bassenthwaite Lake Station is a café housed in a restored railway station, featuring a full-size replica steam train. Situated directly opposite Dubwath Silver Meadows nature reserve, it offers breakfast, lunch and light refreshments, alongside afternoon teas prepared fresh to order and served in smart souvenir boxes.

The venue welcomes dogs throughout, providing water bowls and dog hooks, and accommodates families with highchairs and wheelchair access. Guests can enjoy foraging workshops, a level woodland walk, wine and cheese tastings, and seasonal festivals.

A resident Labrador, Poppy, adds to the welcoming atmosphere.
